Status gizi anak usia sekolah merupakan indikator penting dalam menilai kesehatan dan pertumbuhan jangka panjang, yang dapat dipengaruhi oleh berbagai faktor, termasuk jenis kelamin. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara jenis kelamin dan status gizi siswa sekolah dasar berdasarkan Indeks Massa Tubuh menurut Umur (IMT/U) di SD Cempaka Raya, Medan. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain deskriptif kuantitatif dengan pendekatan cross-sectional. Sampel sebanyak 20 siswa dipilih dengan teknik total sampling, dan data dikumpulkan melalui pengukuran berat badan dan tinggi badan. Status gizi dianalisis menggunakan WHO AnthroPlus dan diuji secara statistik menggunakan uji chi-square. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar siswa perempuan memiliki status gizi baik (90,0%), sementara siswa laki-laki lebih banyak mengalami gizi kurang (50,0%) dan obesitas (20,0%). Uji statistik menunjukkan hubungan yang signifikan antara jenis kelamin dan status gizi (p = 0,016). Temuan ini menunjukkan perlunya intervensi gizi yang mempertimbangkan faktor jenis kelamin dalam upaya peningkatan status gizi anak usia sekolah.
